COURSE TITLE: Prerequisite for HIV Testing and Counseling Course Lessons

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course, along with the HIV Testing and Counseling face-to-face training, satisfies the State of Georgia’s requirement to receive a Worker Identification Number to conduct HIV Testing and Counseling

COURSE FORMAT: Online

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

• Identify aspects of the timeline of HIV.
• Identify the basics of HIV transmission and prevention
• Understand the Life Cycle of HIV
• Understand the importance of Cultural Awareness as it relates to HIV Testing and Counseling
• Demonstrate the ability to conduct HIV Testing with state-approved rapid HIV Testing Devices.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide HIV Counseling
• Verbalize the services available in Georgia for HIV and AIDs patients in Georgia.
